The Bamsey Family’s Story
We started training with Corry because our own individual efforts over the years never quite worked out. Doing things individually was our approach in the past as it is for most couples, but then we realized that we needed to approach this as a team effort, just like marriage – we were going to do this together, for better or worse. We both played competitive sports while we grew up through high school, and we had continued playing various sports recreationally. However, that doesn’t mean anything to staying in shape. Read More…

MJW’s Story…Tribute to Corry
“During my first training session with Corry she asked what my fitness goals were. Here was my laundry list: increase strength and endurance for crew season, drop my body fat for bikini season, learn to eat right for every season and work on my balance. Balance was a very important personal goal as I have Multiple Sclerosis and it has disturbed my coordination. Read More…
Kristin’s Story…
“It is no exaggeration to say that training with Corry Matthews has saved my life. When we started our sessions three years ago, I was 39 years old, working long hours in a high stress job, 25 pounds overweight, and was recovering from my mother’s death and treatment for melanoma–all of which left me with no energy and very unhappy. Suzanne’s Story…
“I have had a few personal trainers in my day. As a firefighter/paramedic I have to keep myself fit and fairly healthy inorder to do my job. What comes with that is lots and lots of of advise. Some of it is good but I would say most of it has been bad or in better wording “not custom fit to me”. Read More…

Lorie Higgins’ Story…
“Corry’s dedication and perseverance despite physical ailments during her competition have been so inspiring to me and others. She motivates me by example. I observe how focused she is on being the “best she can be” for herself. She instills in me the desire to work harder at maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Corry tailors my exercise program to my capabilities since I am over 55 years of age. She pushes me to do my best without unnecessary stress to my body. Toni Hylton’s Story…
“Corry is a wonderful trainer. Corry assisted me with personal training and I am very impressed with her caring attitude and level of expertise. When I injured my back I followed her to another gym where she is currently inspiring seniors (like me) to great physical fitness with gentle exercise techniques and tips. She is a great asset to the industry with her training, education and motivational attitude. She works hard at what she does best and that is the great inspiration for all of us! We are so glad to have her working with us.” ~Toni Hylton, GRI, Jobin Realty
Pre / Postnatal Testimonials
Erin’s postnatal testimony
Before I was pregnant I regularly went running and did light weightlifting for my lower body. During pregnancy Corry introduced me to “weight lifting” for the whole body. I did more weight training during pregnancy than before (just at low impact). I stayed active my whole pregnancy, yet I gained almost 70 pounds…probably due to the root beer in one hand and an ice cream in the other, as soon as I left the gym! I just kept telling myself, “I’m pregnant so I’ll eat what I want and lose it after the baby”. Read More…
Mary’s Story
I had my first baby in July 2005 and I wanted to get my body back. My husband was overseas for OIF and would be returning home early January 2006 so I wanted to look good for him when he returned. Not only did I want to look good for him but most importantly for myself. I wanted to look and feel good and boost my confidence and self-esteem. Read More…
Iesha Wade’s Story…My Experience
“Training with Corry Matthews has been a positive life changing experience. I became pregnant with twins in November of 2004. Before becoming pregnant I was a very active person running 5 times a week and I stayed in the gym. My life was very hectic; I was an Army Captain in the Military Police Corps stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. My pregnancy seemed very long and I did not exercise throughout my pregnancy due to my high-risk status. I spent a month on bed rest in the High Risk Pregnancy Unit and later delivered my twins by cesarean section on June 29, 2005. Read More…
Margaret Livesay’s Story…
“Training with Corry Matthews has been a real eye-opener. Seven months ago, I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, baby boy. Prior to his birth, I had been working on my MBA. I had no time to eat, and exercising was just not an option. I had always been active in sports. In both high school and college, I played soccer year round. Read More…
