Dianne Hon’s Story…

“I was introduced to Corry in October of 2004. I was leaving my most important job as mother and wife to begin my career as a personal trainer. Corry was to be my mentor. She was given the direction to teach me how to implement an effective fitness program into a variety of individual’s lives so that they might in turn discover a lifetime of fitness. It was a big order for such a petite woman!

Through the months of training side by side (while having to explain “why are we doing it in this order” and “what was that for”), visits to Starbucks (all low fat/caloric experiences), and hours of flashcard sessions while doing cardio, Corry shared with me not only what she knew, but who she was. While enabling me to successfully pass the ACE exam on my first attempt (what a shock!) I was introduced to the heart and soul of this loving, honest, and determined young woman. Though I tease her that I could possibly be old enough to be her mother, I believe that in truth she is the little sister I never had.

Corry is the most disciplined individual I have yet to meet. I continue to find it amazing how she can transform her body in the matter of months while preparing to compete. She does this while providing thorough and effective training to all of her clients and classes. I was not surprised she won her pro card. What surprised me was how long it took the judges to finally really see this incredible young woman that I have grown to know and respect. Though her body is beautiful, it does not compare to depths of the beauty of her heart.

Corry is a born teacher. She has the ability to effectively communicate to all ages. She is as much fun and effective with the younger children as she is to with our seniors. I have had the pleasure to work side by side with Corry in our community and at Gold’s Gym wear we currently train clients. Together we co-founded Fit & Healthy Schools (www.FitNHealthySchools.org) and Fit & Healthy Training (www.FitNHealthyTraining.com), helping everyone reach their fitness and nutrition goals. We also developed the Seniors “Forever Young” program at the gym. Corry has the ability to reach out to all age groups and teach them with enthusiasm, respect, and concern.

Corry, years ago you were a diamond in the rough. Now everyone around you is seeing your beauty. Your journey has just begun. May God hold you, guide you, and protect you along the way.

Thank you for all you have taught me, but more importantly, thank you for who you have become in my life.”
